🎥 WONDERFUL! VISMA | LEASE A BIKE SHARES BEAUTIFUL FOOTAGE OF WOUT VAN AERT'S FIRST OUTDOOR TRAINING SESSION

The recent good news from Visma | Lease a Bike has been literally captured on camera. Wout van Aert, who unfortunately crashed during Dwars door Vlaanderen and thus had to start a lengthy rehabilitation process, has completed his first outdoor training session, and footage of this has been published in a video on X.

Everyone is curious about the Flemish rider's recovery progress. It seems to be going well, as we could gather from his recent updates. The Belgian all-rounder has been increasingly active on Strava, posting significant walks and frequently training on rollers, recently followed by his first outdoor ride. He was understandably cautious, cycling around for just over an hour, covering a total of thirty kilometers. Van Aert shared this ride on Strava, completing it on a new mountain bike.

More videos about Van Aert's recovery seem to be on the way, possibly hinting at participation in the Giro d'Italia?

On Tuesday afternoon, nearly a week after that ride, his Dutch team released a video. It shows Van Aert slowly making his way back and breathing in the fresh air outdoors for the first time since his fall. "It's been almost four weeks since I fell. It feels really good to be riding outside again," we hear the Belgian say.

There was also time for a laugh in the thirty-second video. "If you want to eat some delicious ice cream, you should turn right here," explains a cheerful Van Aert. Moreover, we can assume that this won't be the last video of Van Aert. In an additional tweet, Visma | Lease a Bike gives a little teaser by stating "more coming up soon." Is the team hinting at a possible participation in the Giro d'Italia? It promises to be an exciting piece of news!
